Bloomfield Animal Shelter/Animal Control Services
The Bloomfield Animal Shelter is a no-kill facility managed by the Township of Bloomfield. We take in stray and sick or injured animals from the jurisdictions we service and accept surrendered pets from Bloomfield residents only. The shelter is open by appointment for adoptions during daily business hours. Adoption appointments are scheduled once an application has been submitted to the shelter and approved.

Volunteers:
The shelter accepts Volunteers to assist with daily on-site duties as needed. Volunteer duties include dog walking, cat socializing, laundry, dishwashing, etc. The minimum age requirement to volunteer is 18. Please contact the shelter directly for more information.
Donations:
The shelter accepts donations of new, unopened items and monetary donations during daily business hours. Any used, expired, and opened items must be discarded. Medical supplies and prescription medications are not accepted. Every day valuable donated items include, but are not limited to: Pedigree Dry and Wet Dog Food, Purina Dry Cat Food, Fancy Feast Canned Cat Food, Friskies Canned Cat Food, Fancy Feast or Royal Canin Dry and Wet Kitten food, Cat and Kitten Litter, Dog and Cat Toys, Dog and Cat Beds, Paper Towels, Contractor and Kitchen Garbage Bags, Laundry Detergent, Bleach.
