BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- PSEG’s road
improvements in Bloomfield, which began last summer, will continue, beginningtoday, and lasting through at least the end of next week.
Repair work for this project includes milling and paving. Milling involves removing up to two inches of the pavement, so when crews pave over it with new asphalt, the road stays flat. While milling and paving is taking place, sections of these streets will be intermittently closed to non-emergency traffic. Once the pavement is laid down, it cannot be driven on for several hours. The milling and paving activities will occur during daytime hours between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
