BLOOMFIELD, Nj -- As part of the Township of Bloomfield's plan to create a Township-owned water pumping station, demolition of the old Getty Station at West/East Passaic Ave. began today. Gas lines have already been removed.
The Township of Bloomfield recently purchased the old Getty Station to create a fourth water pumping station, to support the existing three Newark-owned water stations in town. The demolition phase of the project will not cause any road closures.
