BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- The Bloomfield Civil Rights Commission will be holding a virtual voter information session for residents on Wednesday, May 27 at 7:00pm. Bloomfield Municipal Clerk Louise Palagano will serve as a presenter for the session.
“The COVID-19 crisis has impacted all parts of our lives, including being able to safely exercise our right to vote,” said Mayor Michael Venezia. “In 2020 there is a primary election in July and a general election in November, making it imperative that our residents know how they may cast their votes. I want to thank the Civil Rights Commision for putting this together and I hope that anyone that has questions about voting this year will call in to this information session.”
The commission will inform voters of important dates as well as the registration process. Those that would like to participate may call 425-436-6348 and use access code 277839# to join the meeting.
“In 2020 there are important elections taking place and it is the priority of our commission to ensure that every resident has all the information necessary to cast their vote,” said Bloomfield Civil Rights Commission Chairwoman Dr. Djanna Hill. “During this session we will go over important dates, how to register to vote and how the COVID-19 crisis has affected the process. The session should take no more than a half hour and will be full of valuable information for voters of our township.”
