Transportation Division

We provide senior citizen bus service to enable our senior population to purchase groceries and personal items. Our department also offers a shuttle service to the Bloomfield Train Station on Lackawanna Place. This train provides direct service to Hoboken and Manhattan. We have two shuttles driving to the train station daily from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. In the evening, we return commuters home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Lastly, we provide a Dial-A-Ride service for our senior citizens and special needs population. This curb-to-curb service offers free transportation to Bloomfield residents anywhere in Essex County. While rides are primarily for medical purposes, we try to accommodate other requests.
