May 21, 2025 - BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Township of Bloomfield is pleased to inform residents, visitors, and patrons of local businesses that additional public parking is now available in the Bloomfield Center area. This expansion enhances the overall accessibility of the downtown district, supporting continued economic activity and community engagement.
The Royal Municipal Garage is now fully operational, providing additional short-term parking to complement the Township’s existing resources, including on-street metered parking and the Glenwood Municipal Garage. This expanded availability is part of the Township’s ongoing efforts to support accessibility, ease congestion, and encourage continued economic growth.
“We’re proud to offer increased parking access in Bloomfield Center,” said Mayor Jenny Mundell. “As our downtown continues to develop and attract more visitors, it is essential that we provide the infrastructure necessary to support local businesses and accommodate the needs of our residents and guests.”
For those seeking long-term parking, commuter and business permits are available through the Bloomfield Parking Utility at www.bloomfieldparking.org. Permit holders may utilize designated long-term facilities, including the Glenwood Garage and the Six Points Parking Deck. Applications can be completed online via the Propark portal.
The Township encourages all who visit Bloomfield Center to take full advantage of the expanded parking options now in place. Whether for dining, shopping, or community events, convenient and reliable parking is readily available.
