You must appear in court on the date indicated on the summons. At that time you will be informed of your rights in the Municipal Court. You may wish an opportunity to seek legal counsel, or you may apply for a public defender. In any case you will be directed by the Municipal Court Judge as to the next step.

It depends on the ticket type and who issued the ticket. If it’s a Electronic ticket (the prefix would begin with an E) it’s automatically I our court system. If it’s a Bloomfield officer who issued a handwritten ticket it will take about 4 to 7 days to be entered into our system. If it’s a State police officer or any other officer it can take up to 2 weeks (14 days) to be entered in to our system.
