BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- PSEG’s roadimprovements in Bloomfield, which began last summer, will continue, beginningtoday, and lasting through at least the end of next week.
Repair work for this project includes milling and paving. Milling involves removing up to two inches of the pavement, so when crews pave over it with new asphalt, the road stays flat. While milling and paving is taking place, sections of these streets will be intermittently closed to non-emergency traffic. Once the pavement is laid down, it cannot be driven on for several hours. The milling and paving activities will occur during daytime hours between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The complete street list wheremilling will be performed this week, beginning today, is:
340’ S/O Sunset Avenue
775’ N/O Glen Ridge Parkway
TS C-3 6713
The majority of these are curb tocenter, not the full street. This project is being financed by PSEG. Residentswith any questions about the restoration process are encouraged to call PSEG’sGas Construction at 1-833-661-6200.
