PSEG’s road improvements in
Bloomfield, which began last summer will continue this week, beginningtomorrow, and lasting through at least the end of next week.
Repair work for this project
includes milling and paving. Milling involves removing up to two inches of thepavement, so when crews pave over it with new asphalt, the road stays flat.
While milling and paving is taking place, sections of these streets will beintermittently closed to non-emergency traffic. Once the pavement is laid down,
it cannot be driven on for several hours.
The complete street list wheremilling will be performed this week, beginning tomorrow, is:
American Way; Broughton Ave. between Ketner St.
and Scott Rd.; Civic Pl.; Dewey St.; Douglas St.; Fitzherbert St.; Gracel St.;Hobson St.; Bessida St.; Main Terr.; Sampson St.; Stone St.; Walter St.; Essex
Ave. between 340' s/o Sunset Ave. and 775' n/o Glen Ridge Pkwy.; Newark Ave.and Franklin St.; Belleville Ave. between Willet St. and Smith St.; Willet St.
