Through a contract with the Bloomfield Board of Education, our office provides nursing services to Saint Thomas the Apostle School on a part-time basis.
Our public health nurse provides first aid care to students, conducts student health screenings such as hearing, vision and scoliosis and is responsible for medication administration. Our public health nurse also conducts immunization audits, provides seasonal influenza vaccination to staff and students, and assists with policy development.
The public health nurse ensures the school is compliant with all rules and regulations from the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE).
